The Alegria Project stemmed from Survivor's Pathway as a solution to the need for psychological and social services to child victims. Survivor's Pathway has been in existence for more than 3 years and specializes in providing therapy to adult and child victims of all crimes.
The Alegria Project is aimed at providing therapy for child victims of bullying, sexual abuse and domestic violence. 61% of children ages 0-17 years have experience at least one direct or indirect victimization in their lives and it is a growing problem that our community is facing with more attention than ever before. Through trained professionals and innovative therapy, we plan to create a more sustainable environment for the children who have been victimized.
The Alegria Project will work out of Survivor's Pathway facility in an area designed just for kids. In this room, the child will feel protected through a child friendly environment that they could relate.
It is our goal to make Alegria Project come to life and start healing those tiny hearts.
